The Midsummer’s Eve at Wolf Laurel Country Club will be held on July 22, 2017, beginning with a “Yappy Hour” at 6 PM, followed by dinner at 7 PM.
All supporters of the YHS are invited to attend the fundraiser at the Restaurant at Wolf Laurel Country Club, a beautiful location in Madison County.
The event will begin with a social hour where you can meet and greet your friends and the staff of the shelter, followed by a wonderful buffet dinner comprised of seasonal dishes and yummy desserts prepared by the chefs of Wolf Laurel.
There will be a Silent Auction comprised of "packages" of different offerings, such as sporting events (golf, whitewater rafting, etc.), dinners, plays, and other activities.
Music will be provided for your listening and dancing pleasure by The Fox Chase Band.
This event is the main fundraiser for the YHS! It is the one time in the year when you can have a wonderful time and provide great support to the shelter. The funds that are raised provide the ability to have Rabies Clinics for the community, educate students about humane treatment of animals, offer low-cost Spay/Neuter programs, build fences for previously chained dogs (Chain-Free Yancey), support adoption and fostering of our dogs and cats, and many other programs.
The other sources of funds for the YHS are our thrift resale store, the Barkin' Basement, in Burnsville, and donations made year round by our supporters!
